Psychedelic-assisted therapy is a treatment approach that combines medicines like psilocybin with professional therapeutic support to address conditions such as treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and trauma. In a safe, intentional setting, these substances can facilitate expanded states of consciousness and emotional breakthroughs that may be difficult to reach through traditional therapy alone.
*Please note that I do not provide psychedelic substances or advise on their use. However, I recognize the growing need for professional integration support and am here to help you process your experiences safely and extract meaningful insights for lasting personal growth.
Psychedelic preparation and integration therapy is a form of supportive psychotherapy that helps individuals prepare for and process experiences involving non-ordinary states of consciousness, including those associated with psychedelic substances. This work is non-directive, non-prescriptive, and does not involve the provision, recommendation, or administration of psychedelic substances.
In Canada, many psychedelic substances remain regulated or prohibited. Preparation and integration therapy focuses exclusively on psychological support, meaning-making, and emotional processing, either before or after a client’s independently chosen experience. Therapy is provided within the scope of professional practice and in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
I primarily use Internal Family Systems (IFS), an evidence-based psychotherapy that offers a structured and compassionate framework for working with complex emotional and psychological material that may arise during or after altered states of consciousness
I am currently completing an extensive certification through Therapsil focused on psychedelic-assisted therapy practices. If you’re considering this path and want guidance clarifying your goals and creating the right conditions for your experience, I welcome that conversation. I am here to help you navigate this process thoughtfully and provide resources that prioritize your safety and wellbeing.
Preparation sessions focus on building psychological safety, emotional awareness, and internal stability. It is common for clients to experience mixed feelings—such as curiosity, hope, anxiety, skepticism, or fear—when considering a psychedelic experience. Some parts may hold strong expectations about healing or change, while others may feel protective or cautious.
Using IFS, we work to identify and build relationships with these parts in advance. This process helps clients strengthen their capacity for self-regulation, emotional tolerance, and internal communication. Preparation is not about directing or controlling an experience, but about increasing readiness, resilience, and informed self-awareness.
My clinical experience suggests that thorough preparation can reduce psychological distress and improve a client’s ability to integrate challenging or meaningful material should it arise.
Integration therapy focuses on helping clients process and contextualize experiences after they occur. This may include emotional insights, challenging memories, shifts in perspective, spiritual or existential themes, or feelings of confusion or disorientation.
IFS provides a clinically grounded container for making sense of these experiences without pathologizing them. Integration work may include:
Without adequate integration, powerful experiences may feel fragmented or difficult to apply meaningfully. Therapy supports clients in stabilizing and assimilating these experiences over time.
While psychedelic experiences may hold therapeutic potential, they can also activate unresolved trauma, emotional vulnerability, or significant life questions. Working with a therapist trained in preparation and integration helps ensure that psychological support is available within a professional, ethical, and trauma-informed framework.
This work emphasizes:

All work is client-led, paced carefully, and grounded in evidence-based therapeutic principles.
